Setting down roots – Astek's American Ventures

Our activity in the USA has really grown since our office opened in LA in February 2015. With sampling campaigns and increased marketing to support Astek’s products there is a groundswell of activity and interest in the USA.


Both Alan and Antony Segal attended the New York Dental Show in November and were joined by Amy Minc, Astek’s US Brand Manager. Whilst time was spent in various meetings Alan also managed to find time to be interviewed by Howard Farran of Dental Town for his website.

This was followed up with Amy exhibiting at the Dental Town exhibition in Las Vegas in March which saw dentists and industry specialists from across the USA meeting for 3 days.

California was the destination for our last exhibition at the CDA Presents Convention in May. Amy was joined in Anaheim by Alan and had a successful few days demonstrating Pro-Matrix, Transform and Pro-Tip to Dental Care Practitioners.

Amy sponsored the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity in L.A in January and enjoyed joining them again in September.

A major new departure for Astek Innovations is our partnership with a distribution centre in San Diego. Due to the high growth in the US the new facility will enable Astek Innovations to decrease goods transit time and will result in enhanced customer service.

Dental Advisor

One of the USA’s leading Dental Journals, The Dental Advisor, recently reviewed Pro-Matrix in its Clinical Evaluations and Astek were delighted with the result. Describing Pro-Matrix they stated it “is simple for dental assistants to set up and is ready to use right out of its individual cellophane wrapper”. 72% of the evaluators would switch to the product and overall it achieved a fantastic 4.5 star rating
Pro-Matrix was evaluated by 32 consultants in 843 uses.
