A donation of over 650 hand instruments ranging from burnishers to probes has been welcomed by Jacqueline James, Dentaid’s Participation Manager “Dentaid are so grateful for the donation of hand instruments from Astek Innovations as they are vitally important to the dental professionals that Dentaid support. Oral health projects in developing countries are very under-resourced and yet the need for pain-relieving dental care within their communities is high. With these tools they will be able to get many people out of pain so they can enjoy a healthier life.”
Dentaid is dedicated to eradicating dental pain around the world. They support dental professionals working in the world’s poorest and most remote communities; enabling them to provide vital, pain-relieving dental care.
Dentaid provides dental equipment and continued support to community oral health projects. Since 1996, Dentaid has supported nearly 300 projects in 70 countries around the world. The charity also sends volunteers to treat dental pain, educate about good oral health and train the local workforce. Alan Segal, MD of Astek Innovations, was pleased to be able to help “We are thrilled to be able to support the wonderful work of Dentaid. The instruments we have donated should go some way to support Dentaid’s dental treatment projects.”
